Forgive To Be Forgiven

From today’s reading…

Forgive your neighbor’s injustice;

then when you pray, your own sins will be forgiven.” Sirach 28:2

Lots of talk of forgiveness in today’s reading, which include Sirach 27:30—28:7, Psalm 103, and Matthew 18:21-35.

Lots of opportunities to practice forgiveness in today’s world. Lots of anger out there. Lots of stress, worry, and anxiety. Lots of fake news. Lots of manipulation and obfuscation. Lots of misdirection and insurrection.

It’s easy to allow yourself to be angry. It’s easy to take offense. It’s easy to lash out.

It’s hard to reach out, both to lend a helping hand and to accept it.

Do the hard right instead of the easy wrong. It’s the only way to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
