Do This To Avoid Shame
From today’s reading…
And now, children, remain in him,
so that when he appears we may have confidence
and not be put to shame by him at his coming.”
When you’re an all-star 18-year old quarterback, it’s tough to sit on the sidelines for 13.5 games, even if it’s for a championship team.
But in the second half of the 2018 Sugar Bowl, the Alabama Crimson Tide called on true freshman Tua Tagovailoa to inspire his team who had fallen behind the Georgia Bulldogs.
Because of his focus, discipline, and faith in the system his coaches had created he was ready and he lead his team to a victory in overtime.
Then, 11 months later, the quarterback he replaced—Jalen Hurts—was called on to replace Tua Tagovailoa against the same Georgia Bulldogs who was once again giving them fits.
Alabama won again.
Both Tua and Jalen remained in Coach Nick Saban and they and their teams are better for it.
And that’s just a silly football game.
Imagine how much better of you’ll be when the big “He appears,” as long as you…
Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
