Do Like Dionysius and Damaris

From today’s reading…

When they heard about resurrection of the dead,

some began to scoff, but others said,

‘We should like to hear you on this some other time.’

And so Paul left them.

But some did join him, and became believers.”

Paul said what he meant and he meant what he said, which is why he did not back down from his message just as Jesus did not back down in John 6:66

As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.”

Stop trying to please everyone.

Stop watering down your message.

Stop worrying about those who “take offense” like it’s a free biscuit at a breakfast buffet.

Speak the Truth and accept and encourage and accompany those who are drawn to the Truth as Paul accepted Dionysius…a woman named Damaris, and others with them.”

Once Paul knew his work was done in Athens he moved on to Corinth to show us how to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
