Consecrated To God From The Womb

From today’s reading…

Now, then, be careful to take no wine or strong drink

and to eat nothing unclean.

As for the son you will conceive and bear,

no razor shall touch his head,

for this boy is to be consecrated to God from the womb. ”

In Judges 13 today we see that 2,500 years ago people knew that children were a blessing from God, that life begins at conception, and that anything the mother consumes will affect the HUMAN CHILD in her womb.

Today, this message of life in the womb is reiterated in Psalm 71,

For you are my hope, O LORD;

my trust, O God, from my youth.

On you I depend from birth;

from my mother’s womb you are my strength.”

And it is reinforced a third time today in Luke 1,

He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb,…”

In six days we celebrate a baby’s birth—the Deity’s delivery—who came to deliver us from depression and despair on the darkest day of the year.

So not only do our days literally get longer, brighter, and warmer from here on out, so do the lives for all who respect and protect life from conception to natural death, for all who respect and protect the mothers who carry these eternal souls in their wombs, and all who…
