Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been pasturing themselves! Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?”
If God is love and you have been created in His image then you have been created to love.
You love by leading by example, which means you serve the needs of the less-fortunate, the lost, the downtrodden.
You are generous by loving generously, which some may not understand…
“Are you envious because I am generous?’ Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
To love does not mean you are weak nor should you make yourself weak to love. In fact, it takes strength and vision to love because the sheep are not only lost, most do not even realize they are lost.
It’s hard to offer medicine to someone who doesn’t know they are sick.
But you’re either a strong, loving shepherd or you’re an ignorant, lazy sheep. Either way you must…
Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
