Christmas Times 1000

From today’s reading…

On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book; And out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see….For the tyrant will be no more and the arrogant will have gone;”

With Christmas just 18 days away people are in a festive spirit.

Nostalgic songs are envelope us as we shop for loved ones, make travel plans, and look forward to time with family and friends.

Some of our best memories come from Christmas. Maybe it’s the bike or BB gun or or jewelry you received as a gift. Maybe it’s the needy family you surprised with toys, clothes, and food for them all. Maybe it’s just a day of hunting or skiing or watching movies by the fire with a special someone.

Take 10 of those best memories and multiply them by 100 and they won’t even be half as good as the worst day God has in store for you as Isaiah reminds us today and Jesus does in Matthew 9.

One day our eyes will see clearly, our ears will hear fully, and the bad guys will be no more so long as we…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
