Carry The Yoke With Ease

‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’” Matthew 11:28-30

Notice how God did not create us to lounge around eating popcorn, sipping craft IPAs, and binging on Netflix.

Even before the fall, Adam and Eve had to work in paradise: “Yahweh God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and take care of it.” Genesis 2:15

You and I were created to get to work, but we’re also called to rest, as God Himself did from the beginning. Rest in the Lord. Place your trust in Him. Willingly take up the yoke He offers you, which is the only way to…
