Build To Heaven?

From today’s reading…

‘Come,’ they said, ‘let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top reaching heaven. Let us make a name for ourselves, so that we do not get scattered all over the world.’” Genesis 11:4

Last year a group of scientists made a breakthrough.

Like God, they could create a human from clay.

So they sent God a text—they didn’t even have the decency to send Him a nice letter!—and demanded a meeting.

When God arrived, they told God, “We no longer need you because we are as good as you. We can make humans just as well as you can, so we challenge you to a make-a-human-from-clay contest.”

God sipped His black coffee (real men drink their coffee black) and nodded, and said, “I accept your challenge on one condition: make your own clay.”

When we ignore the transcendent, bad things happen.

We need God.

We need beauty.

We need inspiration beyond a dude with a guitar and a laser light and fog show repeating a verse for 30 minutes with his eyes closed and our hands raised.

You can’t build your way to heaven, but you can dig your way to hell.

Stop thinking you know it all, which is the only way to…

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
