Break Down or Lift Up

From today’s reading…

For God has commanded that every lofty mountain be made low, and that the age-old depths and gorges be filled to level ground, that Israel may advance secure in the glory of God.”

Baruch was Jeremiah’s assistant and he had an important message for the Israelites with a focus on Jerusalem.

Throughout the Bible we see the same sequence of events:

  • Sin

  • Punishment

  • Repentance

  • Return

Today Baruch reminds Jerusalem that all who are chosen and seek forgiveness will be raised up while the haughty and arrogant will be brought low.

In the end our path will be flat and clear but you get to decide if you will be brought down or lifted up to it.

So follow His command to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
