Blessed Are The Gentle

From today’s reading…

Blessed are the gentle: they shall have the earth as inheritance.” Matthew 5:4

Today is All Saints’ (Hallows’) Day, which was proceeded last night by All Hallows’ Eve, and is followed tomorrow by All Souls’ Day.

Revelation 7 describes “the four angels whose duty was to devastate land and sea” who were told to wait until “the (144,000) servants of our God” received “the seal on the foreheads.”

But they were not alone since “there was a huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from every nation, race, tribe and language;”.

That’s a lot of hallowed saints and souls who “prostrated themselves before the throne, and touched the ground with their foreheads, worshipping God with these words: Amen.”

Seems pretty gentle to me. And they were gentle despite having “been through the great trial.”

Despite your hangover and/or upset tummy from too many treats last night—and maybe even this morning!—be like the countless saints who are gentle as they pray for you to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.

Now go sell something.
