From today’s reading…

He said to them, ‘You belong to what is below,

I belong to what is above.

You belong to this world,

but I do not belong to this world.

That is why I told you that you will die in your sins.

For if you do not believe that I AM,

you will die in your sins.” John 8:23-24

We’ve been moving through John 7 and now 8 and we see Jesus growing bolder, being more visible, and speaking out against the vipers occupying the illustrious seats of leadership in the Jewish faith.

You can’t say they—and we—weren’t warned.
