Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them,

so that your progress may be evident to everyone.”

The dust has barely settled from moving the rock away that was in front of the tomb of Jesus and Paul is reminding Timothy that there is much work to be done.

That he must lead by example.

That he must remember the gift he has been given, which was transferred to him by the laying on of hands.
