Be Blessed To Prepare To Meet Him

From today’s reading…

Behold, the Lord comes to save his people;

blessed are those prepared to meet him.”

For thousands of years the Israelites were told about the coming of the Lord.

In the first book of the Bible, we see Bethlehem first called out when describing Rachel’s burial place.

Isaiah 7:14 tells of the virgin birth.

Rachel mourned for her children in Jeremiah 31:15. (Herod killed all the young boys in his futile attempt to kill the baby Jesus.)

And God’s son was called out of Egypt in Hosea 11:1.

The signs were all there, yet people missed the coming of the Lord.

Two weeks from today we celebrate His coming. How ready are you?

Sometime between now and two weeks or two decades or four score from now, you will meet the Lord face-to-face.

In order to be prepared, which is to be blessed, you must…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
