Answer The Call Like Aaron

Every high priest is taken from among human beings and is appointed to act on their behalf in relationships with God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins; he can sympathise with those who are ignorant or who have gone astray, because he too is subject to the limitations of weakness. That is why he has to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people. No one takes this honour on himself; it needs a call from God, as in Aaron’s case.” Hebrews 5:1-4

How weak was Peter to deny Jesus three times in one evening, the evening Jesus needed him the most?

Yet Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom.

Why? Because Jesus is God and He knows what’s what.

He knows our weaknesses.

He knows what it’s like to bleed, to sweat, and to cry.

He has experienced every temptation that has weakened us, which is why He had to come and give of Himself.

We are too weak to save ourselves but we are not too weak to listen for God’s call and to answer it, which is the only way to…
