And Suddenly There Was Jesus

From today’s reading…

Filled with awe and great joy the women came quickly away from the tomb and ran to tell his disciples. And suddenly, coming to meet them, was Jesus. ‘Greetings,’ he said. And the women came up to him and, clasping his feet, they did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers that they must leave for Galilee; there they will see me.’” Matthew 28:8-10

Jesus did not hide before He was crucified, nor did He hide after His resurrection.

We see in 1 Corinthians 15:6 that He appeared to 500 at one, and He remained with His apostles and disciples for 40 days, not just a brief encounter.

To this day, as He did with two of His followers on the road to Emmaus, He makes Himself present, felt, and known in the Eucharist, which is given to us daily if we’ll accept it.

So the question for you is, are you “filled with awe and great joy” and telling everyone about your encounter with the risen Lord?

It’ll help you, and those who trust you,…

Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.
