Accept Your Wretchedness

From today’s reading…

At the time of the evening sacrifice, I, Ezra, rose in my wretchedness,

and with cloak and mantle torn I fell on my knees,

stretching out my hands to the LORD, my God.”

Despite Ezra’s stature, power, and wisdom he knew how to pray and seek forgiveness.

Maybe because he knew how to pray and seek forgiveness he had stature, power, and wisdom.

Not only will you never get in trouble by replacing vanity with humility, it has the added benefit of helping you to…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
