A Security Guard For Your Roommate

From today’s reading…

He remained for two full years in his lodgings.

He received all who came to him, and with complete assurance

and without hindrance he proclaimed the Kingdom of God

and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Lodgings” is an interesting description of living in chains for two years with a guard as a “roommate” as you await a decision from Caesar as to whether you live or die despite the courts finding you innocent of the charges your “holy, pious, friends” drummed up on you.

But Paul didn’t sit in prison watching the Weather Channel, lifting weights, and trying to get on Oprah to tell the world he was innocent.

He kept his trust in God. He continued to witness and proclaim the truth.

You may not be where you want to be or where you think you should be, which means you can practice being like Paul who allowed the Holy Spirit to guide him and help him…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
