A Blast of Searing Judgment

From today’s reading…

When the LORD washes away

the filth of the daughters of Zion,

And purges Jerusalem’s blood from her midst

with a blast of searing judgment,…”

Anyone and everyone with access to the internet uses Yelp!, Amazon Reviews, Rotten Tomatoes, and even Siskel and Ebert along with the Better Business Bureau (Ok, Boomer!) to pass judgment on everything from the quality of their dog groomer to not being given extra pickles in their to-go burger order.

To think your life won’t be judged is silly, ignorant, and/or arrogant. Isaiah, which some have called “the Fifth Gospel,” is quite clear on that today.

Confess and repent because not even SPF 1,000,000,000 will save you from the “blast of searing judgment” that will come your way if you do not…

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
