From today’s reading…
When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,
he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;
he did not carry it out.”
The people of Ninevah were literally playing with fire. The fire of hell.
They were 39 days from destruction but they listened to God’s message from Jonah and they all repented, including the king who humbled himself in seeking forgiveness.
When is your last day?
Not your last day at work. Your last day to live?
Have you repented?
Have you turned from your evil ways?
Are you sure God will be happy to see you on that day?
Hopefully you have 40 x 400 days and more to live, to repent, to get right with God.
But you should do it now because you never know when it is too late for you to…
Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
