Nobody striving to do anything of importance, of significance, bats a thousand.

Heck, one out of 12 of the Apostles turned Jesus over to the authorities and another one doubted He had risen until he saw and touched the nail marks and His side.

What about hedge fund managers or venture capitalists? They invest in 10 deals knowing full well that three will fail completely, three will do nothing, three will do average, and one will provide a 1,000% ROI.

Online marketers are happy with a 1.5% opt-in rate and become wealthy with a 5% opt-in rate.

Jesus, Lincoln, MLK, were all killed for their messages.

But they delivered their messages anyway. And although many did not (want to) hear their messages, it only took a few to hear it to create a movement that changed the world.

Even Washington predicted—correctly—that those who would fight for our freedom because of the “goodness of the cause” would be little more than “a drop in the Ocean.” But we still prevailed.

So stop seeking perfection.

Instead, seek progress.

Seek fortitude.

Seek persistence.

Seek stamina.

Seek the courage of your conviction.

Seek consistency.

The seeds of your efforts will find fertile ground soon enough and you’ll be rewarded for your efforts.

Stay the course. Keep the faith. Endure.
